Customs

Following on from a previous Customs update, the go-live date for the implementation of Safety and Security (S&S) declarations is fast approaching. The go-live date is 31st January 2025.

The new Safety and Security declarations are linked to the recently introduced Border Target Operating Model, meaning a S&S declaration will be needed for all imports into Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This includes the Crown Dependencies of the Isle of Man, Bailiwick of Jersey and Bailiwick of Guernsey, which also includes Alderney and Sark.

Goods being imported without a completed S&S declaration may lead to delays and possible fines.

Full details of the S&S declarations can be found by clicking here.
